Hey Guys-
Because of Gunny, we are getting lots of sad stories pouring in. Another volunteer who actually helps out at the pound around here (wow, I do not have the stomach for that...those are BRAVE volunteers!) emailed me with an email she received, asking for crossposts. I know NOTHING of this story or these people, but have to at least put the story out there in case anyone can help/lives nearby/has contacts. I am not even sure what they need for this guy at this point, but I had to at least make people aware...this poor baby. Please click on the photo link...it tells the whole story.

Below is the original email...note that "AC" means animal control, i.e. their pound; he's in Florida...

This poor, sweet boy looks like this because of being beaten, and yet he is STILL loving, and Jax AC. is REALLY trying to save him! PLEASE forward!
This guy only has a few days left! He was beaten badly, has you can see by his face.
Jacksonville FL Animal Control loves his personality, and that is why they held him over his date with death:

Amy-- about 2 hours ago word came thru MySpace connections that Phoenix Animal Rescue of Gainesville FL is taking in this dog... also, upon further inspection, it may be that this is a genetic defect, not the result of a beating...

It is no end of how low some people can sink to beat a poor dog like that. The face is deformed... I have no word for such cowards..

sounds like he was born this way (genetic) as opposed to being beaten. still sad, but a little easier for me to accept.
