Hey everyone! I thought it might be fun to start a group on "Disc Doggin" in honor of Wallace being a National Champion. So if you're a seasoned pro or just want to get started we can use this group to share ideas and training tips.

About Me:
****BIG NEWS****
Mark and I (aka Turnadaisy) are entered in the first ever ArtPrize http://www.artprize.org/artist/id/2728 We are showing a large outdoor sculpture at the very cool B.O.B. this September! We would love to see you folks then! Follow Turnadaisy on Twitter and Facebook for up to the minute news and behind the scenes info :)

We are Suzanne (or Suz) and Mark we have been together 21 years (married 16yrs) We were involved in conformation showing and advanced obedience with our Rottwielers.
Until early March of 2009 we had one 11year old mixed breed, Travis and had planned on getting a Saint Bernard when he was gone...well you know how plans go...
It was 9:30 pm early March, absolutely freezing cold, when our neighbor called and said there was something in our yard...Mark says "OK, well you can have it." Neighbor says "No, really it's a puppy." So of course we go out and sure enough there is a gorgeous little brindle and white pitbull puppy. She had a pretty collar no tags, healthy weight, smelled like shampoo and her nails were short. She was coughing and very cold and very sweet. I tried to get her to take a walk to see if someone was looking for her, no luck and she did not want to leave our yard anyway.
We brought her inside. She ran around saying Hi to Travis and the 21 year old cat Maggie. They were Not Thrilled LOL! She was still coughing and I was worrying when she threw up a Huge amount of food, Huge amount. Of course she stopped coughing after that. She is Highly food driven so we are guessing someone dumped a big pile of food in the yard and left her with it.
I had spent more than 15 years defending my Rotties and did not want to go through that again (hence the Saint idea), plus Mark wrecked his knee in May 08 and then came the layoff. So I was going to find her owners or a good home, she was not stayin'. The first night she fell asleep on Marks chest and started to snore, he was a goner. I tried for a few weeks to find her the perfect place with no luck. The rescues are full and I wasn't about to take her to a shelter or give her to just anyone. I was falling for her...
Mark, ever the smart aleck said one night..."We could call her Emma...Em ma stayin' or Em ma goin'? LOL!" Ha Ha very funny, I knew it was over then. Emma is stayin'
So here we are, reading everything and having a great time rearranging our lives and teaching Emma things. She is smart as a whip, super fast and wonderful with my neices kids and full body wiggle for everyone she sees. She is rough with the Old man Travis but she is slowly learning to take it easy with him and he is doing things he never would have done...like eat bananas...he hates bananas but if Emma is going to eat them he will too dang it! LOL!

Thank you www.pitbulllady.etsy.com for the help and link to Pitbull forum :)

Glad to have found this community
