There is most likely some mental disorder behing that kind of hate against a whole breed of innocent dogs. But its hard to feel sorry for such a guy that does such a coward act. He shows his face. I hope he dont run in to a pit bull lover that is ...

What's your favorite Wallace video?
"You Cant Bring Me Down".
Have you met Wallace in person?
No, but i sure would like to meet both him and Andrew Roo Yori. I have much respect for "Roo" and what he has done for the breed. Wallace has done a lot too of course even if he cant speak. Actions speaks louder then words as we know.
About Me:
I am from Sweden, Umea in the North of Sweden. We have two Amstaffs. Milo and Camilla (Cami). Me and my fiance are are very much in love with this breed and are planning to be breeders in a couple of years. That if they start to use Amstaffs as police and security dogs here, not else. There is too much dogs out there without a good home anyway. If we will breed we must be absolutely sure that the high drive dogs we will breed with will get good homes. It will be the best working Amstaffs possible.

If not we are just going to have Amstaffs and Pit Bull and train them and enjoy the good life with them. We had thought about moving to Eastern Europe (Croatia) and buy a big farm with much land so that we can have horses and dogs and not snow and cold half the year.. But now we have decided to stay in Sweden. It is going to be the island thats called Gotland instead.

We have found our race and there will always be Pit Bulls in our home (even if we when we move must have other breeds to protect the farm and animals there. As well as the the house and our Pitties.. *lol*)

We are if we are going to be breeders breed working Amstaffs. We think they are easier to sell in Europe then Pit Bull. Maybe we take Pit Bulls from shelters instead and train them in search, tracking, rescue and schutzhund. Train them up as Diane Jessup do and then sell them to the police and military. Well se what happens;)

One thing is for sure. All of you that work with rescuing Pit Bulls are doing a fantastic job and are worth all the respect in the world. And Wallace, when we first saw that dog on youtube we could not belive our eyes when we saw what he did. He is truly a fantastic dog and this forum is the best i have been on because there are never any hard words, its like a big family here, everyone gets along.

Blessings to you all

Mats

saw ur comment about the BARF diet.

We'd love to feed a Barf diet. It just makes sense! Dogs shouldn't just eat dry kibble.. I've heard so many good things, and seen good outcomes.

so i'm guessing all yours eat a barf diet? They look great= so muscular!!!
But with 5 large breed dogs, and a pomeranian... it would be WAY to expensive..

I'm going to do some research on it- see what i can do for the future..
Thanks!

I agree. That is what happened with the white dog in the photos on my page. I hurt my back and could not train a fully grown power dog like that, although he was really beautiful!

Any body is welcome here as i see it. Even though the scenery of my area is dull, i would take any and all of the pups who are in trouble in other countries in a heartbeat if it was feasable. Does Marco even know he has been discussed???? LOL :) the ol' guy is just minding his business and i have managed to tell a story. :)

Not sure if Marco would think it was as pretty here :)
It does make perfect sense. I've seen so many variations of APBT appearance. My first male that i owned years back was tall and athletic. He only weighed 65 pounds at one year old. I joked that he was a gazelle. I have a good friend who has one that is very short but VERY VERY stocky. So stocky in fact that his stride is very wide and totally unnatural. His head looks twice as large as it should be for his size and with his height below my knee, weighs over 65 pounds. He was chosen because of these traits and I believe he is a piece of work but not my taste. His owner did not respect his strength in the beginning and left him un-supervised with another APBT female for half a day and came home to find her with two completely broken legs and completely mauled. The dog had never shown any aggression ever before but was left alone with another dog who was extremely hyperactive and for almost sure she annoyed him into the act. The owners lesson has been learned now that these dogs were truly bred to take down other animals, but at that expense. It comes with the Responsibility part of owning these dogs. Several friends breed for the athleticism as "Catch" dogs for boar hunting. I know little about it but it seems exciting. Another breeder that i work with breeds Bull Mastiffs and Rottweilers. Supposedly the Rottweilers were truly bred using the original breeds over time that make up the Rotts. Again out of my knowledge range. Several of his what he calls "Pitts" are in the range of 100+ pounds. Not used for breeding but as family pets. Sorry that I dropped so many questions on you but even people in my personal circle who handle or own APBTs know very little about them. I'm really in search of more knowledge about this breed. Its the most interesting of breeds to me. If i'm going to make this commitment for this breed and try to set an example with my own then i want all the knowledge to better inform others. I'm not nearly as interested in breeding as others. Not that i'm opposed to it but with what my occupation requires and my wife's as well, i don't have the time to do it. We also own a very jealous 5 year old male chihauau that almost seems emotionally devastated that "Bo" our 11 week old pit pup is even in the picture. I do really appreciate your time talking to me about this subject and I hope you do enjoy discussing it. And I did appreciate you sending the link about the EU petition and i have signed it. Any way that i can help
Thanks
Corey

I saw your thread on Charlotte Hagens page about pit and am staff traits. Are the only real trait differences for registering purposes nose color & non-solid white coats? I see so many examples of what a person calls a pit. The term am staff is not a common name used here in America among dog owners or at least here in the south. I did once own a brindle "Pit" that was deemed a "pit bull" by the shelter. LITERALLY. She was 8 weeks old and they had no knowledge of her breeding. When i first saw her i immediately called her an am staff, due to what i had seen in an APBT book and her lanky athletic physique, and i was immediately corrected by the shelter worker who said "no thats a pit bull and she will probably be euthanised if an APPROVED family dosent adopt her." I immediately asked for an application and the decision took over an hour to be made by the shelter's manager. People here get technical and say they have a Coby, Red Nose, Blue pit, Alligator pit, and on and on. Now that i know a little more, i understand that APBT is the UKC breed name and Am-Staff is the AKC. OK, you have seen the pics of mine? What would you call it from where you are from? :)
