Me and my wife moved to Lexington N.C. from High Point N.C. and they were used to getting walked and ran for about an hour a day. I started to work a lot more than I used to so I wasn't able to walk them. My wife couldn't ause she was pregnant at the time. Well after a while you know pitts need exercise. Anyways there energy just kept on building up so one day I was getting ready for work and I went out to go and warm up my car. Well they were wanting to run so much they just bolted out the door by hitting the latch and took off running. I went after them and I couldn't get them. I lost them in the new neighbor hood I just moved into about a month ago. I drove and drove and drove I couldn't find them no where. So I ha dto go to work cause I had to be there to open and I was already late (Hour Late) So I was like they are very humblr dogs so there shoudn't be a problem they will be back. I get home and they wasn't my wife was worried I was freaking out. So I calle dthe pound the next day and left a message. Animal control (cops) called me that Monday and said that they have been shot cause they attacked a man and had him on the ground and tried to attack the officer. I knew it was a lie and that they shot them just because they were pits. hey played with a 11month old girl all the way up intil she was about a year in a half. I went around asking people didi they run up with them and two people said yes. They boh said that they were sweet as can be cause they were trying to play with her cats. The other said that they were nice also. that's the story I'm very heart broken over there death. That's the reason why I am the way that I am about the breed. EDUCATE, REBUILD, TEACH people about the
