I live in Georgia and work in EMS. I started rescuing pitbulls in the late 70's and have owned many since then.
I own an APBT named Cheyenne, who is very sweet. She has a brother (Chihuahua) Dale and a sister (Persian cat) Fluffy. They all get along and love each other.
I have introduced the frisbee to Cheyenne and have been working with her on catching it . Right now she will not catch it out of the air but maybe after some work she will be able to.
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Though it is clear from photos and your ambitions in rescue and breed awareness that Cheyenne had a very good life with you.
Our deepest compassion on your loss. Keep sharing stories and pictures of Cheyenne so this wonderful pibble lives on through the WEB.
The blessing of Pit Bull spirit comes with an enormous burden, namely the massive HEART-BREAK from their loss. From the love I get now from my forever home, I truly believe it is Gods way of make even more room in your heart for another Pit Bull rescue. Even my Sheena mourned the loss of her kennel mate Buck after her raising him from a rescued pup nearly seven years. The whole families spirits were lifted when I arrived last October. Sheena one year later is sleeker, happier and rejuvinated in her nearly 12 years of life.
I hope Cheyenne hooks-up to play with Jake, Buck and their bully friends on the other side of the rainbow bridge.
Check-back, Boris
My deepest and most sincerely sympathies for the loss of your beautiful Cheyenne. I totally understand the devastation as I lost my oldest girl doggie (14 years old) and house alpha 2.5 years ago and I still cry for her .
You gave her wonderful home filled with love and companionship and I know that she loved you for it!!! an old american saying is " as long as you say the name , the spirit shall never be forgotten and will live on !! Tell her story to many and say her name often and she will live on
rip in Cheyenne
