Oh my!!! She is adorable!!! As far as the media goes, they are in BUSINESS to decieve the people!!! Here is a BLARING example of just how the media is COMPLETELY controlled:

It is not just BSL that we all need to be aware of in terms of the lies and deception, it literally affects EVERY aspect of our lives!!!

I have noticed that a majority of the BSL or proposed BSL comes after a Pit Bull has been accused of biting someone. And I find it ironic that a majority of the stories that the media writes in relation to these stories are either outright lies or contain half-truths. However, if another type of dog bites someone, they try and bury the story in the back of the paper or television don't even mention the story.
The reasoning behind it is, the more gory the story the more papers or more viewers there will be, meaning more advertising dollars for the station or paper.
What all this does is cause hysteria about Pit Bulls, which a vast majority of the population in this country know little if anything about Pit Bulls.
In a photo array like the police uses of 30 dogs, many people picked a Jack Russell or some other breed of dog and not a Pit Bull. In many stories you will see where the story says a "Pit Bull Mix" or "Pit Bull Type Dog". Which tells me that they very people who are pushing BSL and BR in their communities have no idea what a Pit Bull really looks like.
That is why we have to not only fight the legislation but allow our dogs be the ones that show the people in our respected communities that Pit Bulls are nothing like they are portrayed in the media.

Thank you, I am glad that we were able to save her, it is cute when she is sleeping her tongue sticks out a little and when she wakes up, it is like she is sticking her tongue out at you. (LOL).

I have the numbers and email addresses for NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell,
his email is Roger.Goodell2@nfl.net and there are petitions on Care2Petition, just type in Vick's name and several petitions will pop up against Vick, and him being reinstated. Goodell's phone numbers are (212) 450-2000 or (212) 450-2027. I have emailed Goodell and gotten no response.
I also sent an email to Wayne Pacelle, he is on Facebook, just type in his name and his page will come up.
I was pissed when Pacelle laid it all off, like he was the big Kahuna, behind Vick's arrest and conviction. When other people on the Net told me that Pacelle was lying, it made me that much more pissed at this guy.
We have to be the ones who speak out against BSL, BR and fighting, because if we don't no one else will fight for these precious babies.
Personally, I think that Vick needs to be treated the way that he treated those poor dogs that only wanted love and affection.

Mr. Cotterman,
Good work with the letters. We should also write the NFL and tell them we will no longer take our kids to football games if Vick is reinstated. Ditto for boycotting companies that advertise during NFL TV broadcasts. Companies that choose to advertise for a sports organization that rehires people like Vick are basically saying it's OK to torture animals to death. The things he did to the dogs were far crueler than even forcing them to fight.
Even my mother thinks Vick should receive the same treatment he gave the dogs, right down to th jumper cables, though she suggested a better place to clip them than on his ears.
The other sad thing is that Vick was never even convicted of animal cruelty, he pled to enterprise corruption or some such joke.
Excellent point about Pete Rose, and Rose didn't even torture and murder animals.
The next time my local paper runs an ignorant pit bull article, I will be sure to write them a "shame on you for poor & irresponsible journalism" editorial, and send a letter to their editor-in-chief about the breach of ethics in not researching the facts, and my disappointment in seeing a paper print tabloidesque hype.

This is something that I explained to a nurse today in regard to proposed BSL and BR, that a majority of the problem is the media and that they either embellish the story or fail to do the proper research in regard to Pit Bulls before doing their stories. After researching Pit Bulls on the Internet and reading pages of reports on Pit Bulls I came to one main conclusion and that is the press have no idea what they are doing when it comes to reporting about Pit Bulls in general.
And of course the release of Michael Vick from Club Fed last month caused more publicity because there was the announcement that Vick was going to do PR for PETA, and when that fell through, he made a deal with Wayne Pacelle of HSUS, at the same time that Pacelle is under investigation in regard to records of the dogs saved after Hurricane Katrina, and finances.
Pacelle sent me an email on Facebook, that contained inconsistences and outright lies. Pacelle made himself look like a knight in shining armor coming to the rescue of Pit Bulls.
Then after I got to see the "house" where Vick is serving his house arrest, I could not believe that he was complaining in a prison interview that he needed to get back to the NFL to live the life that he had become accustomed to.
I understand that Vick did 23 months in a Club Fed, which is a federal prison that is more like a college campus compared to a regular prison with bars and high fences or walls.
Since he was first arrested and charged Vick done everything in his power to avoid prison by saying he was addicted to Marijuana, and he needed rehab instead of prison. The next attempt was that he had found God, and should be kept out of prison so that he could lecture kids.
I wouldn't want him lecturing my children or grandchildren, there are other athletes who are professional and would be better role models.
I even emailed NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and told him that Vick should not be reinstated and should be permanently banned from the sport the same fate that Pete Rose suffered for gambling. I am still waiting for a response from Roger Goodell, I have no love for Wayne Pacelle of HSUS, but he was man enough to send a reply even though it contained lies and inconsistences.
